Cavallo Island is a private island managed by the ASIC consortium (Association Syndicale de l’ile de Cavallo), consisting of a few private villas and a quaint village at the harbor. Access to the island is restricted to residents, property owners, their guests, as well as hotel and restaurant guests, so as to ensure a unique tranquility even during typically crowded periods.
Part of the Marine Park of Bocche di Bonifacio, Cavallo island is located in French waters, within the Lavezzi archipelago, between Sardinia and Corsica. It lies 12km from Sardinia’s shores, 3km from Sperone/Capo Pertusato, and 4km from Bonifacio, making Corsica’s southernmost tip.

How to reach Cavallo Island
To reach Cavallo Island, you can take the mini ferry “La Rotation”, which connects Piantarella Pier to Cavallo. Alternatively, from Figari or Olbia airport you can book your helicopter transportation.
If you are travelling by car from Corsica, you can drive to Piantarella Pier and park alongside the road or in a private parking. From Sardinia, you can book a private boat to reach Cavallo Island from Santa Teressa di Gallura harbor.
